Ahoy bedding from Clair de lune – Review

You will have seen Harry’s nursery theme is pirates, we had completed his whole room in this lovely blue colour theme and tied it all together really well with lots of accessories.

The one thing we had been lacking was a boys bumper and quilt set, we were using Emmy’s neutral cream teddy bear set which tied with her nursery theme of teddies

This was until the lovely team over at Clair de lune sent Harry a perfect set to match his room.

The set is called Ahoy and consisted of a lightly padded bumper and a light weight cot/cotbed quilt.
Both of which are reversible with a very cute patchwork design on one side with  dog sailing a boat, a lighthouse, numbers and other boats with the reverse having an all over pattern with the same designs as on the front only smaller and all over in a repeating pattern.

The whole set is a beautiful mix of different shades of blue.   The detailing is amazing and the quality is great.  This is a set which will last way beyond the nursery stage and any boy will be happy with for years to come (or girls obviously).

When this arrived both Emmy and Harry were beginning to get poorly (a virus which has knocked them both for 6 and lasted around 3 weeks) so Emmy asked to try it out. With that she hopped up into Harry’s cot and demanded a pillow which I got for her and then asked me to leave the room.  Well she is 3 years old and has NEVER gone to sleep on her own, I always have to be in the room, so I thought nothing of it and went to do Harry’s bottle.  He then fell asleep so I went to tell her to move so he could go to bed and found her like this.

It seems to have the Emmy seal of approval as she slept for 1.5 hours.

The picture detailing is very cute and it looks great whichever way up you have this set.  I really love this set, I liked Emmy’s but it was rather boring if I’m honest – this is colourful and fits in perfectly with Harry’s room.

Priced at £42.99 it will last many years as it so well made it will not fall apart at the first wash – I have tested this and washed many times and it still looks as good as new.
