This picture was taken after Emmy gave Harry her chocolate cookie, I think some of it was actually eaten and the rest spread everywhere including all over his bouncy chair.
So I think it’s actually safer he isn’t fed actual cookies from the cookie jar but instead plays with his Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Cookie Shape Surprise.
This is aged for children aged around 6-36 months. It has 2 play modes Shapes or Numbers, and 5 different shaped and coloured blocks to place into the right holes.
Shape sorting is too hard for 9 month old Harry at the moment, however he is rewarded when he places his hand inside the jar as the cookie car plays a tune when the sensor detects movement.
Pressing on the bottom of the shaped holes or actually putting the right shapes into the holes (with Emmy’s help) will tell them the shape or a number – the number corresponds with the number of sides the shape has.
Emmy is enjoying trying to teach Harry how to play with this properly and teach him his colours, although she does get frustrated that her can’t say them back to her however it is cute to watch.
This toy helps to teach hand-eye coordination, reaching and grasping and early colour, shape and number recognition.
When you press the nose it also lights up and sings – Harry has worked this out really quickly and it makes him giggle,
From a parents point of view the songs are very repetitive and can be very annoying after a while however the kids don’t seem to mind at all!
Currently it is really cute watching Harry get confused when he puts the shapes into the jar and we put the lid on as he can’t work out where they have gone.
