I do love a good sale shop, in fact it is very rare that I ever buy anything at full price – there is usually a sale somewhere so it’s just a case of shopping around until I can find it cheaper elsewhere.

I started the year with a list of things I wanted to look for in the January sales, I didn’t need a lot but wanted a new coffee machine and a soup maker. I had gone off my Tassimo as the coffee just wasn’t tasting great anymore and no amount of cleaning and descaling was working, and my soup maker was so over-worked that it stopped working.

Of course, as always happens I got a little carried away and not only purchased these items but treated myself and Paul to new clothes. I did really well though and actually didn’t buy for the children because they had more than enough over Christmas and it is Emmy’s birthday in just a few weeks.

Here is a little of what I managed to grab in the sales – more than I had planned to buy but updated wardrobes were needed.

I also managed to get some new plates and glasses in Tesco’s, some new bra’s for me and socks for Paul – boring but essential. I found some jumpers and blouses in Tesco’s which managed to jump into my trolley and a new bath mat which really wasn’t needed however it was pretty.

All I need to get now are new towels and Emmy’s birthday presents…..oh and maybe a bank loan if I keep spending at this rate!
