What is a Capsule Wardrobe?

Simply put, a capsule wardrobe is a mini wardrobe or closet made up of incredibly versatile items that you love to wear. A capsule collection is made of a combination of items you already own and love to wear, along with new quality items that you shop a few times a year. Besides, the elements of a capsule wardrobe complement one another, which ensures that nothing goes unused or unworn.

The typical capsule wardrobe consists of 10 to 20 pieces, such as a blazer, a high-quality wool coat, a flattering pair of jeans, a white and black T-shirt, aviator glasses for women, and likewise. However, the key is to remember that an ideal capsule wardrobe is something that is attuned to your lifestyle and style preferences. Now that we have touched upon the basics, let us dive into the must-have items in a woman’s capsule wardrobe.

Must-have Items in a Woman’s Capsule Wardrobe

  • Trousers

Needless to say, trousers are the most fundamental basics for every closet. Pleated pants in the right fit and when accessorised optimally can elevate an outfit’s status by two notches higher. Ideally, you should stock up on three to four pairs of high-quality and well-made trousers in basic and versatile colours like beige, black, and white.

In addition, you can also add a peppy and vibrant pants in colours like pink or lilac to spice things up. Trousers look good with a lot of things. They are easy to style, as well. From crop tops to cardigans, whatever the topwear, the right pair of all-rounder pants will not let you down.

  • Shirts

Well, shirts are a no-brainer when it comes to a capsule wardrobe. The right kind of shirt can instantly make you feel and look ‘dressed up.’ Of course, shirts are also very comfortable and pair well with a lot of different bottoms wear, such as jeans, Bermuda shorts, and even skirts.

You can experiment with solid-coloured shirts, such as bright pink and electric or cobalt blue, as these hues are trending. But, if your goal is to go basic and incorporate timeless pieces in your shirt collection, then beige, white, and black shirts will not let you down.

  • Stylish Frames for Women

A capsule wardrobe is incomplete without stylish frames for women. The right kind of eyewear can instantly elevate any outfit, and infuse it with some much-needed flavour. Whether your choice is cat-eyes, aviator glasses for women, or oversized vintage pairs, there is a frame for every game.’

If you have a round-shaped face, opt for upswept cat-eyes for a lifted look or rectangle frames to add dimension and symmetry to your face. Similarly, if you have a rectangular face, then aviator frames for women will make you look and feel like a million bucks.

  • A Little Black Dress (LBD)

A capsule wardrobe is all not just about plain and simple pieces, you can definitely spice things up according to your preferences. A Little Black Dress (LBD) is the perfect way to amp up your capsule closet.

As we all know by now, an LBD is exceptionally versatile and flatters everyone. The best pick would be a bodycon black dress with fashionable cut-outs or a bit of shimmer. You can wear an LBD to all kinds of events, whether it is going to the club, a candlelight dinner with your beau, and more. Find your perfect LBD at ShopTobi.

  • T-shirts

Last but not least, your capsule wardrobe must contain two to three excellent T-shirts in colours like white, black, and beige. Of course, if you are an enthusiast of all-things vibrant, then do not shy away from adding colourful T-shirts in your closet. With the right Tees in your style arsenal, you can create a basic outfit and also elevate your simpler ensembles by pairing them with a dressy pair of trousers.

Besides the five staple pieces mentioned above, a capsule closet should also contain items like a midi skirt, a flattering blue denim, a pair of high-quality black boots, and likewise.
