Ode To The Morning

I’ve set the alarm early tonight

Ready to start the day nice and bright

This is the day we will get it right

Then one which won’t end up in a fight

We’ll sit and chat and eat on time

We will get you to the School door by nine

Both washed and dressed

This doesn’t have to end in stress

Your clothes are out and neatly laid

It really isn’t a fashion parade

Your shoes can be found by the door

Bags are packed and on the floor

Today is the day you see

I’m not just doing this for me

Hurrying isn’t a great way to start the day

Let’s make more time so we can play
