Create a poster with a motivational message

Keeping your kids motivated is a great way to encourage them to keep to their routine. For this reason, a poster with an uplifting quote can be a great decorative element. All you need to do is to find the right aesthetic to complement your message.

word art

The poster on the image features a sweet, free script font. This unique handwritten type can help you give your crafts a timeless, stylish look. This versatile font will work well in both young children’s’ and teenagers’ rooms. As a complement to this font, the poster includes a fresh, tropical background. The illustration is part of the Banana Leafs Seamless Pattern pack. This bundle contains several patterns with a botanical, nature-inspired theme.

You can create your version of this poster with a user-friendly graphic design tool, like Canva. You can print it on a paper, add a frame, or directly print it on a canvas. The option you choose will change the look of the craft.

Customize a cushion for your child’s bed

If you don’t have a lot of space in your kid’s room, you should avoid stuffing it with unnecessary decorative elements. These rooms can get messy quickly, so less is more! One solution is to decorate objects with a purpose, like a cushion. Luckily, many printing companies offer this service at a very affordable price.

customised cushion

The cushion from the image displays a fresh, optimistic quote. The font is called Blast, a simple sans serif font that is easy to read and to combine with other elements. See how well the font complements a frame from the Frame Sky Blues Watercolor Floral pack. This bundle includes a bounty of classic elements that you can add to almost any composition. You’ll fall in love with these delicate leaves and shiny frames.

If you have a cutting machine, like the Cricut Maker or the Silhouette Cameo, you can customise a cushion at home. You’ll only need to cut out your design on heat transfer vinyl, place it on top of a blank cushion, and add heat and pressure with an iron or a heat press.

Create a themed calendar

A personalised calendar can be practical and beautiful at the same time. It’s a great resource for teaching your kids how to plan upcoming events and the value of organisation. To add a cute touch, you can experiment with different backgrounds, illustrations, and fonts.

themed calandar

The calendar in this image combines the Brandon Bromley font with a bold, colourful background. Brandon Bromley’s bold, script lettering and powerful strokes make it perfect for titles that leave an impact.

The background is part of the Fantasy Watercolour Digital Paper Set. This pack is full of digital illustrations with a magical, shiny look. The patterns have come in high resolution and include five different colours. These papers are perfect for a calendar; print them in high quality and choose different colours for each month!

You can display all the pages of your calendar together, or just hang the one that corresponds to the current month. If you add a cute frame, you can turn these calendar pages into a cool decorative element.

Create a photo collage with fun memories

You can create a fantastic poster using some photos from your family album. This way, your kids can get to look back on their happiest memories every day. Kids’ rooms are important to their emotional development; happy pictures can help them feel safe and calm.

room pictures

The collage in this image features a floral background and a fresh, spontaneous font. The font is called Angelika Playfull, which is a timeless sans serif type that is elegant and easy to read. The floral pattern is part of the Watercolor Seamless Digital Paper pack. This bundle is full of sweet floral illustrations that can decorate almost any project.

Print your collage in the size and format of your preference. You can display a giant poster or use a smaller frame. It all depends on what you want the end result to be. Why not try printing a few variations and see which suits your kid’s room best!

Now it’s your turn to create a new version of these crafts. Have fun combining different fonts and graphic sets. There are infinite possibilities! You will have a lot of fun, and your kids will adore their rooms’ new aspect.
