How to Keep Your Kitchen Pantry Tidy

Posted on May 12, 2021May 18, 2021

Let’s face it, it’s relatively easy for your kitchen pantry to become untidy. We use our pantries multiple times every day, but we don’t always realize how messy they’re becoming. The good news is that keeping your pantry tidy can be quite simple.

Let’s take a look at how, with a bit of work, you could have a kitchen pantry that always looks tidy:

Use Matching Storage Jars

A great way to keep your kitchen pantry tidy is by using matching storage jars. Using this method won’t just be aesthetically pleasing, it’s also a good way to keep things tidy. There will be no more packages of food that seem to be scrambling for room. If you want an updated kitchen look, this is the option to go for. The jars don’t have to match perfectly, they just need to look slightly similar.

Put All of Your Baking Supplies Together

If you tend to have all of your baking supplies all over the place, start by putting them together. Build shelves, making sure you have all the products you need before you begin. Then, build some additional shelves if there is room.

If you don’t have space for extra shelves, stick some baskets on the shelves and store all of those supplies together. This means that they won’t need to fight for space, and they’ll look good. Try to keep your baking supplies in one corner of your pantry. This will ensure that if you were to spill some flour, you will only spill it on top of your other baking supplies. This will make the mess easier to clean up. Oh, don’t forget to put syrups and other sticky substances in a container so if they leak, the basket won’t get very dirty.

Store Things on Your Pantry Doors

There’s no doubt about it, you want to keep your kitchen clean and tidy. You probably have all of the storage options you need in your kitchen. However, chances are, you’ve neglected the pantry. Here is where the doors can prove to be useful. If you have space, you could hang some spice racks or other types of shelving/baskets on the doors. Not only will they help to keep your pantry organized, but they can also be quite decorative.

Use Drawers to Your Advantage

If you want to make your pantry super organized, consider adding a few drawers. You don’t need to buy specially made drawers, there is an easier and cheaper option. Buy some wire racks, the kind that you would find in a health food store. Attach them to some drawer slides, and you’re good to go. You will have to be reasonably good at DIY to do this, but the effect will help you to keep your pantry tidy.

Use the above tips to help you keep your kitchen pantry tidy. The sooner you do, the sooner you will realize that a tidy pantry looks good and is so much easier to use.
