Let Harry Moseley’s fantastic work continue

It’s not very often someone touches your heart especially a stranger, and even less often is that stranger an 11 year old boy but that is exactly what Harry Moseley has done to thousands of people in his short lifetime.
I was in tears last night when I read the extremely sad news that Harry had lost his battle with an inoperable brain tumour.  Harry’s journey began in 2007 when he started having lots of problems with his eyes, after numerous visits to Opticians and hospitals he was given an MRI scan and told he had a Brian Tumour which was inoperable due to it’s positioning deep inside his brain.
Harry went on to start Chemotherapy however this didn’t work and his tumour grew.  He then started Radiotherapy making friends with everyone he met – one particular friendship was with Robert Harley who was also having radiotherapy – they continued their treatment together everyday for 6 weeks becoming very good friends.

When in 2009 Robert became very ill Harry decided  to make and sell beaded bracelets to raise lots and lots of money for brain cancer research to help make his friend better and to also help others.  Sadly 4 weeks into Harry’s campaign Robert died aged 55 but Harry continued with his fantastic work, selling these lovely bracelets and raising money for such a great cause.  During his short life Harry has touched so many people – old, young, rich and poor, he was such a delight that everyone warmed to him and loved him – even those of us who have never met him.

Even when very poorly in hospital Harry would update all his ‘Twitfam’ with his progress or if he was unable to do so his family would do it for him.  He has touched so many during his 11 years and has raised over £500,000 for a great cause.

Sadly Harry passed away at home last night on the 8th October 2011 at 11.10pm.  My thoughts are with his Family and Friends at this very sad time.

How can you help?  Easy – You can spread the work, donate to Harry’s Just Giving page or buy one of Harry’s Bracelets, or all 3!
