**Written in collaboration with Emily Jones**

Being a mum is an amazing thing but getting caught up in day-to-day tasks and appointments sometimes results in forgetting to care for yourself. Additionally, finding time to style outfits as a mom is hard! Therefore, most mothers need simple and practical outfits. This does not mean that you cannot look good, with the right fashion tips, you can look put together without sacrificing practicality.

Here are some items every mum should have in their closet:

Good quality pair of jeans

A good pair of jeans is a must-have clothing item. As a mom, a good pair of jeans can serve many purposes. You can put on the jeans at home, run errands outdoors, or go to informal social events. You can wear jeans with a comfortable t-shirt, a blouse, or a tank top depending on the occasion.

Wristwatch

A nice watch is a great accessory to elevate your look yet it is also a very practical (and useful!) thing to wear. You can check the internet for some trendy watch options, stores like Pisa Orologeria Milano for example, display some trendy chic watches. Some watches are so pretty that they basically double as a bracelet!

Loungewear

Most of your time is spent indoors taking care of your child as a mom. Even working moms have a lot of in-house tasks. Therefore, loungewear should also be part of your closet. These are comfortable pieces that allow you to accomplish your motherly duties comfortably.

Crossbody bag

A crossbody bag is the perfect mom bag: hands-free and spacious. You can carry your baby, shopping bags, or push the stroller and not have to worry about straps falling down. A crossbody bag styled with pants and a shirt can effortlessly give you a chic and practical look.

Chunky sweater

A chunky sweater should also be a perfect addition to your mummy closet. These sweaters are very nice and comfortable. Now that the weather is getting warmer, you can style it with shorts instead of skinny jeans.

Cute sneakers

Every mom should own a pair of cute sneakers. They are comfortable shoes you can wear when running errands or attending informal events. In addition, sneakers go well with various clothes, including dresses and trousers. You can have more than one pair for convenience.

For a mom, comfort and practicality are important. However, people have different fashion senses and styles. Therefore, what works for you may not do the same for someone else. So, what are your must-have clothing articles for your closet?
