These boots were made for walking #review

Since Emmy was born I’ve walked a lot.

Having had an emergency C-Section I couldn’t drive for 6 weeks so walked everywhere and it became a habit, a good habit.
It was harder to do that after Harry was born as I had Emmy too so we got stuck indoors however since Emmy started Nursery I’ve vowed to walk more. Nursery is a 25 minute walk away from us (I’ve short legs as Paul says it’s a 15 minute walk), if Emmy walks it too it takes nearer 40 minutes.
I can honestly say since she started Nursery in September I’ve only used the car on 2 occasions to pick her up, it’s just pointless for me as Harry would fall asleep in the car then I would be stuck when I got there. By walking with the Buggy he can sleep for as long as he likes and we all get some fresh air and I gwt the much needed exercise, plus it takes just as long in the car as it does to walk as parking is a nightmare as it is with most schools.
Walking to and from school takes up almost 2 hours of my day and means I’m clocking up on average this many steps a day:
Good walking shoes/boots are needed obviously so it’s been a godsend I was sent some Hi-tec Snow boots to try out. I showed them to you a little while ago, well it’s fair to say I’ve well and truly put them through their paces.
Hi-tec snow boots
What is the verdict?
That’s easy to answer,  I really like them.

They are very well padded on the inside,  thermal lined and with a cushion sole.
The laces although they don’t undo the boot are good for ensuring a proper fit.
One thing I would mention is that because they don’t unlace I had to send back my size 5’s and replace with a size 6 as I couldn’t get them on, so you may need to go up a size in these boots.
These can easily be wiped down after getting muddy, and boy have I got them muddy during a Gruffalo hunt in the woods.
The Thinsulate lining means they are keeping me toasty now the weather is cooling down.
I can honestly say I’ve never had a pair of shoes which are more comfy than these are.  They maybe on the pricey side at £79.99 however I’ve been wearing them day in and day out for the past 4 weeks and they are showing NO sign of wear and are super comfy.
You get what you pay for that’s for sure and if you are going to be doing lots of walking then I would highly recommend these boots and just think how warm you will be when the snow arrives!
