Beaded Valentine’s Day card

It’s almost that time again and we are thinking Hearts at the moment.

Love is in the air so Emmy and I decided to get our craft on this morning.

Card making with kids, valentines day card with kids, how to make a valentines day card with children, beaded cards

This card was made using:

  • White card
  • Large pipe cleaner
  • Coloured Beads
  • Pink sparkly card
  • Heart stickers
  • Cellotape
  • White wool (I couldn’t find my cotton)
  • Cricut machine

If you don’t own a Cricut you can easily cut the heart shape into the white card yourself, just draw the shape first and cut out.  The holes could be made using a hole punch too.

First I bend over the end of the pipe cleaner to stop the beads falling off then Emmy threaded the beaded onto this, when full I twisted the ends together to stop the beads falling off and shaped into a heart shape.

While Emmy was threading the beads on I was cut out the heart and the circles on the white card using the Cricut, I also cut a pink heart out which I made about 1.5 inches bigger than the white heart.

I then tied the heart onto the card top and bottom to hold it in place and cellotaped the pink heart onto the back.

Emmy then decorated the card with heart stickers.

This was so easy to make taking less than 20 minutes and looks so pretty too.  Emmy had great fun making it.
