I think it’s safe to say that all schools are on Summer holidays now, mine finished last Thursday however I have friends which have been sharing pictures on social media of their children finishing this week.
Whether you are going away on holiday or perhaps just having a few day trips to the seaside or heading into the city, many of us are prepping for long journeys or periods of time with no Wi-Fi and of course if you are driving with kids in the car or heading on the train for a few hours at a time the last thing you want is the children screaming they are bored.
Our main issue with holidays is the kids are used to watching a bedtime programme and if we are in a caravan or sometimes even a hotel with no/patchy Wi-Fi they don’t understand why they can’t just put on Paw Patrol/Peppa Pig after heading back from dinner at 8pm
For the first time, Amazon has revealed data from its download functionality and looked at the day of the summer when the most content is downloaded for offline viewing – that day is TODAY.
The data shows that downloading content for your holidays has become something everyone does as part of their holiday check-list / pre-holiday life admin! It is certainly something I try to remember to do to save the upset of having only 5 TV stations and children’s TV ending at an early hour, mine are allowed to stay up late on holiday and after a busy day swimming, wandering around town or playing on the beach and after card games and board games we have wind down TV time.
Amazon have named Friday 28th July “Download Day” – falling the day before the start of the anticipated busiest travel week of the year, trends show that this will be the day that Amazon customers will download the largest amount of TV shows, movies, music, apps, games and books from Amazon.co.uk to enjoy offline and on their summer travels.
