Just incase you’ve been living under a rock and not seen the supermarkets have been promoting Mother’s Day since the Valentines cards disappeared! It’s mother’s day this Sunday.
Now for me I am more than happy with a homemade card, a cuddle and maybe a lie-in for Mother’s Day but I know for sure I won’t be getting that lie-in so I’ll settle for a cuppa coffee and breakfast in bed.
What I do adore though is the lighter mornings now spring has sprung and a floral delivery certainly puts a smile on my face and the scent of spring into my house.
My day was brightened recently with a delightful bouquet of flowers alongside a special sanctuary spa gift set with this Spa retreat gift set package from Debenhams Flowers.
The two together are just delightful and a real treat, I received the small bouquet which consists of 7 Cherry Brandy roses & 3 sprays of Green Hypericum Berry and the Sanctuary Spa gift set consisting of: Sanctuary Body Wash 75ML, Body Scrub 50ML, Body Butter 150ML, Luxury Bath Float.
The vivid orange of the roses is simply stunning and the smell was amazing – unboxing these in my kitchen in the morning sent the smell wafting through my house which lingered all day and stayed in the kitchen for a few days. The flowers lasted well for around 6 days too which is pretty good going for cut flowers.
The gift set is the perfect size to take away on holidays or to just treat yourself to a long deserved soak and a pamper – this is what I did as I’m trying to include me ‘me time’ into my week.
Priced at £34.99 this was a lovely early Mother’s Day treat – and if you’ve not yet sorted your Mother’s Day gift you can use code DFBLOG25 to receive 25% off of your Mother’s Day flowers from Debenhams Flowers (excluding flowers by post which is a very small selection) – you can find a large selection of Mother’s Day Flowers including bouquets of chocolate bars!
Corkcicle.Air is a funky new gadget which I can’t wait to try out. Sadly it arrived at the start of my flu episode and I’m still not recovered enough to actually want to have a glass of wine (I know unheard of!)
I do however have it in the freezer ready for when I feel better.
Corkcicle.Air is designed to keep your wine chilled from inside the bottle. You put this into the freezer for a few hours/overnight then when you open you bottle of wine you add inside the bottle – this is perfect for summer BBQ’s where you don’t want to have to keep going inside to the fridge, or even for outdoor picnics/concerts etc.
The Corkcicle Air has a through spout so you don’t have to remove the stick to pour your wine, and it also has a built in aerator that will instantly improve the flavours and aroma of your wine!
I have this on my packing list for when Paul and I go away for the afternoon and evening in a few weeks time – we will be taking a bottle of fizz with us to enjoy in our room either in the late afternoon or while getting ready to go out to dinner (shhhh don’t tell the hotel – it’s far cheaper this way!).
These cost £19.99 and are available from www.root7.com
Now I was searching Groupon for Spa days and Afternoon tea’s however this deal caught my eye instead – Chocolate and Wine tasting, what a perfect combination!
- Taste samples of La Bruyerre chocolate.
- Accompanied by canapes.
- Each chocolate sample is paired with a wine.
- Six learning objectives: presentation, grape varieties, wine making, sparkling wine, how to taste and serve, useful terminology.
- Two-hour experience.
Priced at £17 for one or £29 for two I am very tempted to book up!
I just adore this surprise gift which was sent from Photo Box. An early Mother’s Day present and one which so very thoughtful.
This was made using one of my Instagram pictures, this picture is my favourite of the two children and this cushion is amazing. It’s now in pride of place on my bed. With prices starting from £26.99 this really is a wonderful Mother’s Day gift.
I’m also hoping I don’t have to cook for myself this Mother’s Day – although we are away the night before so it could possibly be a takeaway instead of a Carvery, which is probably for the best as it will be very busy everywhere – so Paul when you read this tell the kids Mummy would quite like a Chinese please!
