The weekend before last we picked Emmy up from school and headed off on a very special adventure, one which we were all very excited about and something which the children (and us) were very thrilled to be attending. We were heading off to a very special screening of the DreamWorks Animation’s PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR at Chessington World of Adventures.
The screening was taking place inside the hotel at Chessington, upon arrival we were greeted and entertained by two of the Penguins from the movie. The children all took the opportunity to hug them and pose for photographs – Emmy I’m afraid to say is turning into a diva and wouldn’t go near them (this really isn’t good for a bloggers child and I’m hoping this phase passes quickly as she is also hating her photo being taken currently), Harry on the other hand kept cuddling, kissing and High-Fiving them at every given opportunity, infact he is still telling anyone who will listen “I kiss, cuddle and high-five my Penguins”.
When the Penguins went we had some time to enjoy a great buffet and catch up with friends – oh course the children were far too excited to eat anything and took the opportunity to run around with all the other children, It was lovely to see them interact with the other children, join in their games, and of course not worry about them running off somewhere.
It was nice to sit down and catch up with some wonderful blogging friends who we don’t see as after as I would like: Sarah from Boo Roo and Tigger Too and Jacinta (Jacintaz 3), of course there were lots of other familiar faces who I would have loved to chat with however it was soon to settle the children down on large beanbags to watch the movie.

The movie starts with 3 curious and fun loving penguins leaving their pack to chase a runaway egg, after much excitement and dramas the egg hatches and ‘Private’ is born.
We follow their adventures in this movie, a follow on to the Madagascar 3 film. The cute foursome are kidnapped (or penguin-napped) by Dr Octavius Brine, an Octupus called Dave in disguise who is holding a grudge over the penguins for stealing his limelight in the zoos they lived in.
The penguins team up with the North Wind to defeat Dave, along the way you’ll find lots of Cheesy Dibbles – the Penguins favourite snack, fun, adventures and mutant Penguins thanks to Dr Octavius Brine but will they stay that way? I don’t want to give too much away so you’ll have to find out yourselves!
Both Emmy and Harry loved this movie and actually both sat glued to it throughout (mostly, Harry did remember he saw pick and mix so went to explore).
