Well, it’s been a very long time coming but Frozen 2 hits our cinemas this week, and Emmy is rather excited to see it (I think a girlie cinema date is due for this one) and I am sure it will be just as popular as the first.

As you would imagine theres a whole new toy range of Frozen 2 toys launched in time for Christmas. We got our hands on two of these products. I can see them being very popular indeed and on many Christmas wish lists.

Elsa’s Enchanted Ice Vanity

There is very little assembly required for this item so if receiving as a Christmas present there won’t be a lot of waiting around until it can be used – but please note that batteries are NOT included and you will require 3 AAA’s to hand to make this come to life.

Add the batteries to the back of the mirrored unit, you will need a screwdriver to do this.

Then you push the 4 legs into place, attach the star piece to the pack leg which helps to support the unit. Click the mirrored unit into place.

There are 2 cardboard inserts which you push into place on the doors of the vanity, and 3 plastic decorative pieces to add to the top which gives it that castle look.

This vanity comes with:

1 Headband
4 Snowflake Clips
1 Brush
1 Comb

Unfortunately, this doesn’t come with a seat so you’ll have to sit on the floor to use it or your a footstool/chair of your own.

Aimed at children 3+ I would suggest it would be suitable until around 7 years of age due to the size of the unit, older children will be too tall to use it really.

On the mirrored unit is a white button which when pressed plays “Vuelie” and “Into the Unknown” and you’ll see scenes from the movie light up on the mirror. The doors to the vanity unit open and close, when opened you will see Arendelle’s castle appear in stunning lights! There is also a little drawer so you can keep your hair clips/bands safely inside, or even your make-up. It would be great for all children who love playing dress-up so they can sit down and get ready.

This is a lovely item for you Frozen lovers – a little too plasticky for my liking but I can see it being rather popular.

“Into the Unknown” Singing Elsa Doll

This is a very lovely doll of a decent size and it comes complete with batteries already included.

I can see this being a very popular this Christmas too, the doll sings Elsa’s powerful song from the new movie which is called “Into the Unknown”, this is a really nice song and Emmy already now knows most of the words now even though she’s not seen the movie.

This doll comes dressed in a beautiful purple gown, to make the doll sing you press the gem on the front of her dress to activate – while singing her body also lights up.

As well as singing she also says 14 film-inspired phrases

This doll is 40cm tall and comes with a dress and shoes and beautifully plaited hair down her back.

Under the dress is a plastic casing containing the speaker and lights, the dress is a thin material which allows the lights to shine through very clearly.

There is a switch at the back of the doll, she comes in a try me mode (mode one), by changing between the modes you can change from instrumental and singing modes.

A little word of warning – this doll turns itself off when you stop playing, and you may (like me) get a little freaked out when it says “are you still there?” or “goodbye” – this did scare me a little when i walked into Emmy’s bedroom when she was downstairs and the doll spoke to me….it’s a little strange looking for who is talking to you from an empty bedroom!
